FAQ: What are the IP addresses for my nameservers?
Unfortunately due to changes that may happen with our nameservers we do not recommend nor provide the IP addresses of those servers.
However, we do understand that some domain registrars require the IP address as well as the nameserver name which in that case you will need to run the ping command via your computer console to find out what the IP is for that name server.
Example:
ping ns1.xtreemhost.com
Reply from ns1.xtreemhost.com (255.255.255.255)
For Windows XP or before
Click Start
Click Run
Type command or cmd and press Enter
Type ping -n 1 ns#.xtreemhost.com
Note the IP in the response
For Windows Vista
Click on the Windows Orb
Type cmd into the search/run box
Type ping -n 1 ns#.xtreemhost.com
Note the IP in the response
For Mac OS X / Linux
Open a console window
Type ping -c 1 ns#.xtreemhost.com
Note the IP in the response
